Make a few of these handmade ornaments to hang on your tree. They are a simple and sweet craft to add to your holiday decorations!

Cut out a small 3 or 4 inch piece of felt into the shape you’d like. You can cut this out free-hand or use a pattern. With a pattern, you can trace it with a pencil and cut just within the trace.

Continue to stitch the holiday shape. For the tree, we added green back-stitches for the triangle, a yellow star, brown trunk and red knot ornaments. For the candy cane, we stitched our white thread in diagonal lines. For the Star of David, we back-stitched 2 yellow triangles within each other.

Using extra floss, stitch a small loop of floss through the top center of your piece to make a hook for the tree. Tie it off and trim any ends.

On your last stitch, make sure you come through to the backside of your piece. Tie another knot and trim the excess floss. You will have the back of your ornament showing the ends. If you’d like, you can glue or sew on another piece of felt to cover that up.
