DIY shrinky dinks are so simple and fun to make! Turn them into keychains, bracelets, or necklaces. Enjoy making these adorable keepsakes.
Materials:
#6 Plastic - (Take out containers)
Sharpies/Permanent markers
Scissors
Baking Sheet
Paper Bag
Oven and Oven Mitt
Directions:
Step 1: Draw your shapes on the plastic piece with sharpie or permanent marker. The image will shrink to a third of the original size, so watch for sizing.
Step 2: Cut out your shapes leaving space on the outside of the drawing. Hole punch the pieces now if making a bracelet or necklace.
Step 3: Preheat your oven to 350°. Place the shapes flat in a paper bag and place them on a baking sheet in the oven. Cook for 30 seconds to one minute. You may see the pieces curl and bubble, that’s normal. Once they flatten out they are done shrinking.
Step 4: Remove the tray from the oven using your oven mitt and let them cool. Then you're done!
