Every year as the holidays draw near we love taking our family to Disneyland and California Adventures. You might call it a "family tradition." Nobody does it better than the folks at Disney.
The Disneyland Resort is a magical place for creating holiday memories with family and friends. This year the holidays at the Disneyland Resort will run from Nov. 10, 2016, through Jan 8, 2017. So, to kick off the holiday spirit we have listed our Top 5 Disneyland (and California Adventures) Holiday Favorite things to do.

We love the traditional Haunted Mansion but as we get close to Halloween we really look forward to seeing Jack Skellington bring a unique spark to the season as Haunted Mansion Holiday returns to Disneyland park to celebrate the collision between Halloween and Christmas.
Who loves a Christmas Parade? We Do! We Do!
When it comes to rides and attractions, Radiator Springs Racers is our absolute favorite. And when you visit Cars Land in Disney's California Adventure you really feel like you have been transported to the real Radiator Springs - accidentally discovered by Lightning McQueen in the beloved movie, "Cars."
Now in its 20th season, “it’s a small world” Holiday is transformed from the classic attraction into one that depicts children of the world dressed in seasonal costumes and happily singing a mix of holiday songs, along with the “it’s a small world” theme.

Then you'll love "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade which is performed daily and is something your family can't miss.
They'll enjoy getting to see some of the most famous Disney characters dancing on and along side the beautiful ballroom float including: Snow White Tiana, Prince Naveen, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Aurora, Prince Philip, Belle and Beast. There's also characters from Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh and Pinocchio.
Kids waiting to see Santa will get to see him as he sits atop his sleigh on the Finale float led by the 8 Reindeer.

During the holiday season Cars Land is decked out with holiday themed decorations including garland stretching across the main drag of Radiator Springs that is composed of spare tires, air filters and wrenches.
You might even see Tow Mater in a Santa Hat.
Now in its 20th season, “it’s a small world” Holiday is transformed from the classic attraction into one that depicts children of the world dressed in seasonal costumes and happily singing a mix of holiday songs, along with the “it’s a small world” theme.
And if you are one of those families that really enjoys searching for “Hidden Mickey’s” then “it’s a small world” Holiday offers up a new challenge this season. This year you can find at least half a dozen “Hidden 20s” in “it’s a small world” Holiday. It's a tribute to its 20th holiday presentation.

Our number 1 holiday favorite thing to see at The Disneyland Resort is "World of Color - Season of Light" which really brings the spirit of the holiday season with their amazing, nighttime water spectacular and their 1,200 powerful fountains shooting water as high as 200 feet to help tell the story. The musical soundtrack features some of the best well-known musical artists performing popular holiday tunes.
It's complete with some of your favorite memorable moments from Disney's animated films and the perfect way to end your holiday visit.
