When Hannah was adopted from China, her adoptive mother, Sharon Sykes, noticed that Hannah had formed a close bond with another child named Dada. Sharon felt heartbroken that the adoption had separated the two friends when Hannah moved to Texas to join her forever family.
After the Sykes family spoke with friends about the adoption process, those friends decided to adopt Dada. Their decision reunited the two children after 11 months apart.
