5 Rituals to Add Peace to Your Mornings

  1. Take 5 minutes to prepare your mind. Pray, meditate, or just be still for at least 5 minutes before you start your day to feel calm and centered all day long. There are plenty of benefits to rack up here as well, such as reduced stress and anxiety, positive mood support, and improved self-control. So skip the snooze button in the morning and spend those 5 minutes fruitfully.

 

  1. Reach for a journal instead of your phone. Checking your phone first thing in the morning is bad news for your day. Replace that habit with a pen and paper and jot down 5-10 things you’re grateful for. The benefits of practicing gratitude are awesome and include greater happiness which is what we all desire. I know it sounds a bit fluff, but try it for a week and you’ll be hooked. Then complete the other 4 things on this list before you go adrift in the online sea.
