25. Have a mini fall festival at home with games, crafts, and small prizes.

26. Go on a backyard scavenger hunt.

27. Visit a haunted house or haunted trail, if you dare!

28. Start a gratitude journal for your kids as we enter a season of thanksgiving. This will help them be thankful year around.

29. Jump in puddles.

30. Go on a leaf hunt.

31. Get the kids in the kitchen and make homemade chili.

32. Make leaf rubbings.

33. Dress up and go trick-or-treating.

34. Have a family picnic under the changing trees.

35. Gather pine cones and make them scented by placing them in sealed plastic bags with a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

36. Make homemade applesauce in the crock pot.

37. Make fall crafts.

38. Bob for apples.

39. Make a thankful tree out of construction paper and have the kids write what they are grateful for on the leaves.

40. Decorate the house for fall using some of those fall crafts the kids made!
