1. Where do you live?
CoThe major markets for modeling are New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Relocation for most parents isn’t a viable option since kids typically work just a few times a year and make only a few hundred dollars for each job.
2. Do you have a lot of free time?
Be prepared for a lot of driving. Auditions can take you all the way across town. Not to mention that you’re usually given only a day’s notice. So you need a flexible schedule where you can make yourself available on call.
3. Are you patient?
A lot of child modeling involves waiting - waiting at the shoot, waiting to be called, waiting for the next audition. Child modeling takes patience and commitment.
4. Can you handle rejection?
Self-rejection is one thing and the rejection of your child another. For some moms who are hurt that another child was chosen above theirs, the rejection may be too much to handle.
