These cake pops are for any occasion! This recipe puts a spin on the typically cake pop recipe...This is great for the busy mom (or dad) who needs to make a “fancy” dessert, for someone special. Happy baking!
Ingredients:
Store Bought Cake (or Homemade)
Frosting
Chocolate or Candy Melts
Sprinkles and/or Chopped Nuts
Kabob Sticks or Lollipop Sticks
Directions:
- Crumble up the cake! That’s right, rip the cake apart into crumbs in a bowl.
- Pour frosting into the crumbled cake, and mix until the cake becomes moldable.
- Form the balls by rolling an ice cream scoop full of the cake in your hands and place them on a sheet.
- Place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Place your sticks in some icing and push that end into each of your cake pops.
- Freeze another 20 minutes to set.
- Set up a station for dry time using either styrofoam or foil in a container.
- Melt the chocolate and start dipping.
- Before cooling add sprinkles or nuts.
Tip: If you're running low on time try donut holes instead of cake!
